prblms with my z
i have a 91 z twin turbo that is smokin from the left exhaust....a blueish and white...when im at idle..and a little bit when im on the freeway and off idlei have a hks dual exhaust with straight pipe, 104thou miles....what do you think it is? I have been told by shops in the houston area and friends that i might be a blown gasket or the valve stem seals...or might be more severe..but i think not..ive had it for a month and the tuneup hasnt been done...i havent gassed it that much just a couple of powerslides and small burnouts on cheap tires...help PLEAS? what COULDIT BE?!!!!
blue smoke is created by oil, so id probably say seals, but im not for sure.
if you have test pipes, i think it is normal for some smoke, not blue tho, to come out of the exhaust because there arent any cats to filter any of your flow.

If it idles and accelerates smoothly with no misfire or stumble, I'd first get the turbo oil seals replaced. If the problem was with the valve guide seals, the smoke usually goes away after the engine is warmed up.
