hey guys, what's up? I just bought a pearl white '92 300zx N/A about a week ago. All the maintenance was done, it was babied and the lady I bought it from was the original owner. The only problem is that it has about 180,000 miles on it. I know Nissan makes great engines, but how confident can I be that I'll get a good amount of miles out of this car? BTW, it runs excellent and I would imagine that most of these miles had to be on the freeway. Anyway, thanks.

 

Speaking from experience here, keep a G or Two on hand at ALL times with a 300ZedX. If something goes wrong, you will be happy you did. Trust me there man. Anyways, welcome to the hell-hole known as Zdriver.com (Just messing, informative place, you will learn plenty if you want)

 

If you do the basic maintenance on a regular basis, then you should be able to enjoy this car for a long time to come. As NISMO mentioned, it is a good idea to keep some spare change around. The internal workings of the engine are very reliable. It's the little electrical components that you have to worry about. When/if something does happen, it is generally pretty expensive.
