Need some help fella's
Well as some of you know I got hit by a El Camino now it was mostly cosmetics damage but I started the Z up today and It bogged out then It would rev automatically and then stop but at like 2,500 to 3,000 rpms it would act almost like it wasnt getting enough fuel...but It was fine before I took off my front bumper... I hooked the MAF back up just in case but it would work and now it wont start..any ideas? The only thing I really gotta ask is I drove it for a good 2-4 miles after it was wrecked seeing only cosmetic damage and nothing sounded horrible or anything drove perfect but when i unhook my MAF and Rehook it up do I gotta restart the computer or no?

Bardabe, what are you talking about? Why would he need to reset the ecu on this? He hasn't changed anything.
Is the MAF connected or not? If it's not, then plug it in. The car won't run right without it. If it is connected and you're having problems, then check the ecu for any fault codes. How hard were you hit? The MAF is a very sensitive piece of equipment. It could've been damaged of you got hit hard enough in the front. It's a strectch, but possible.

Anyway I can just get the screen replaced?
No screen on the MAF does allow more air in. Dirt shouldn't be a problem since it sits behind the air filter. Some peopler have removed them in their cars and believe there is a noticeable difference; however some have removed them and had it cause problems. Apparently the air that travels through the MAF without a screen tends to be more turbulent; which can confuse the MAF.
