more hp for n/a '93
I am getting a rebuilt engine put in my N/A 1993 300zx 2+2 and would like to get a few more ponies. I have a K&N air fileter and will be adding headers. What esle would I need to get in the 260-270 horse range without going bonkers? It is a price vs. performance issue and I don't really race it.

Go with a mod cam bigger intake and higher compression. The whole idea of power is the more air you move thru the motor the faster you will go. What exhaust are you running ? i only ask because if you have a big intake and a stock exhaust you are bottlenecking you air thus lowering you power and performance.

if you want 260 hp its going to cost especially if its non-turbo.
my car stock pulled 198 hp on dyno wit 186 tq.
with a flywheel= +6hp
with intake =+5 hp
with no cats high flow exhaust= +11 hp
jim wolf chip = +8 hp
headers =+9 hp
hks ignition+hks sparks= +6 hp
jim wolf cams= +7hp
pulleys= +2 hp
100 shot of nos (dry system) +78 hp
thats plus 132 horsies but with out nos its 54 hp+
which i am pullin 252 to the wheels!!!!!! (very fun)
but it cost me $3000 plus some mech. labor because putting in the headers and cams on a z is a b@#$%
ohh another thing ....... upgrade brakes and suspension cuz the back end gets slippery around corners with the new power
