Step away from eBay.

If tt.net were back up, I'd link you to all the posts about how Megan exhausts are crap.

If you can't afford what you want, start saving. Don't settle for less.

Buy cheap, buy twice.

People who buy eBay quality parts are the reason that the resale value for the Z32 blows so bad right now. When you mod cheap, it makes the car cheap.

Yeah, HKS Hi-Power, and I never said anywhere that I bought it off anyone on tt.net. I bought it from Ultimate Z back when they were reputable, but any HKS vendor should be able to match that price.

Now that tt.net is back up... (and I forgot to mention earlier, Megan exhaust components are not even 2.5 inches... they're only 2.3, making them hardly larger than stock... considering there have been gains shown by going up to 3 inches, it'd be stupid to go less than 2.5 and think of it as a performance mod)

http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg...msg_id=2143968
... The testpipes didn't fit at all. I mean they are so far off its pathetic...
...I know what I should have done.... now I regret not listening to myself and others...
http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg...msg_id=1599314
1. downpipe flange too thin, nuts on turbo studs bottomed out before snug had to use washers.

2. test pipes seemed short - had to really pull the whole system to get them to seat, system seems like its under stress which it shouldn't be.

3. included gaskets are useless as was most of the hardware.

4. wastegate seperator on one downpipe was beveled on the wrong side and installed backwards, had to grind it to fit correctly.

Bottom line - pain in the *** and it's evident that the people making the product have no idea about it's fitment or function.
http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg...&forum=general
Megan racing is simply a company that mass produces copies of existing products. They are less expensive not only because they do no testing or development but because they use less expensive materials and mass produce the product with little quality control.
http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300z...ent-sucks.html
fitment sucks

http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300z...est-Pipes.html
They don't have the second bend before the hanger like most TPs. Consequently, the fitment is off at the hanger and the midpipe connectors flanges. They dont fit the stock precat, Borla Catback setup; but I see how they mate to the split DP/Borla combo. I'll probably get rid of them and buy something [quality] that fits correctly. I keep trying to skimp dollars on this DP/TP project and it seems it is just not worth it.

Lesson: Spend the money. Do it right. Be happy.

http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300z...s-cracked.html
... but the welds cracked after a month so I had to reweld them.

http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg...&forum=general
The pass side pipe was too short by about 1/8" and the flange needed to be turned a few degrees to properly match up with Borla H pipes. The fitment was not impossible, but since I was going to get downpipes anyhow, it was a poor enough fitment for me to ditch the Megans, and buy a complete SZ downpipe/testpipe setup.

That's just from the first few search results on tt.net. I'd keep going if I were up for it...

Ebay isnt bad if you get real parts.

I have the sebring set up from z1, its pretty tight, it sounds awesome, i think it was about 800, stainless steal, dual outlet mufflers and the x pipe.

i wouldnt settle for a crap part, you dont want to have to do it twice.

try craigslist.
