Hello

I have a quick question, i have a 1990 300zx NA, it has a K&N intake on it. Car runs great but it is very noisy. is that normal? it makes a loud sucking sound. does anyone know why?

I've got the stillen intake w/ the K&N filter and I think it makes the engine sound better! I'll sell you my old stock air box if you're going to take the K&N off...

 

K&N is lould because more air can get in, causing the sucking sound to happen. Some people like that, and some dont. If you dont want that kind of noise, then you would want to go back to your stock intake setup.

well to start off intakes are pretty much a small version of a turbo its used to take in more air but of corse everyone knows that so im gong to shut up but its funny b/c if you pull up next to some one who doesnt know what the hell is going on they think you have turbo its funny happens to me every now and then well take it easy and keep on Z'n
