Has anyone ever had problems getting a JWT exhaust system to fit? I just purchased the stainless steel, cat back system from Jim Wolf Technology for my '91 TT and was really surprised to find that it doesn't come anywhere near fitting back into the factory hangers. I was ready for a couple of stretches on the rubber hangers, but in some places it is off by 1.5". We finally gave up and put the factory exhaust back on. Because of the offset of the rear differential, I was really suprised to see that they hadn't taken that into account on the drivers side and it comes within 3/16" and has about a 4" gap on the passenger side. Wouldn't an exhaust pipe so close to the differential radiate unwanted heat to the differential?
We are e-mailing pictures back and forth now to resolve the problem and Jim and Ben are being pretty helpful. I just wanted to know if anyone on the list has had this happen to them.
