JDM TT Swap is Alive!!!

so after countless months and money, the swap got its first test drive last night...

all i can say is, damn i wish i replaced my harness sooner...it woulda saved me a lot of time and frustration...but the good that came out of it is that by avoiding the new harness to see if the problem was anything else, i ended up replacing much else that could have gone wrong, and the car should be good for 60k miles with no maintenance other than oil changes because everything is new...

it runs real strong, was a little groggy from idle probably because a number of the vacuum lines weren't hooked up for the test drive, along with the oil pressure sensor, and there was no hood or bumper on it...we just wanted to see how it drove.

tonight i finish dressing her up, and get to start breaking in the clutch and getting a feel for it...

i also found out recently something i had never known about the 300zx...motors that came in the auto's had slightly smaller turbos, which is also why i noticed the car only running about 8.5 psi...i guess boost varies a bit from auto to manual...but its ok because even stock manuals are small...i'm not losing a lot of power, but i am cutting the time it takes to spool, which is very nice...

this weekend a friend and i are going to check the injectors because the car has the typical old zx ticking, which i've been told by a few other 300zxtt owners isn't a problem really to worry about, becuse they have it too, and have had the tick for a long time with no problem and no signs of it getting worse or causing anything else to have problems...i do have a handful of stock injectors ready to take the place of any bad or going ones that only have about 400 miles on them, and within a week my new (15k miles +/-) twin turbo fuel pump will be here, and at that time i will probably turn the boost up to 10 or 11psi, until i get my ash ecu...

thanks to everybody on here and all the other forums i've been posting in for the continued advice and sharing of knowledge, i'll be sure to post more once i do get the fuel injectors/pump in and start having a bit more fun with it...

congrats! Good work it sounds like, we'd definitely like to see pics/vids/etc! I bet it's quite the change!

yeah I wanna see the product of yuour, mine, and Seraphics hard work. oh by the way the guy witht he S13 flaked out on me. so he'sa bitch. no S13 for me. but anyways
yeah ima pay in full for clip **** everithign else teh Z32 is the ****.
