its been a while since i have had a z. even though i have owned 5 300zxtt in the past, i always found myself in a situation where i had to sell them to get by. Now things have somewhat changed, i have my medical degree and have done well over the last 4-5 years now. The sacrifices have been huge. But i plan to get what was always the dream car when i was 16 yrs old again. I still remember alot about the z's. There is one for sale within driving distance to where i live but it is an automatic. If time is not as issue, can the auto be changed to a manual in a factory type of condition? I have all the tools i would need, i own a body shop that is just sitting vacant with all the tools, frame rack, welders, and such. But my question is has this been done before? Or would i be better off just paying 15k for a manual vs the 5k i can buy a auto for and not doing the swap. thanks in advance. the auto is a tt if that make a diffrence in the swap. But from past experence, isnt all the access in the firewall there for a manual and just has rubber bushings in the hole? Please help with some direction and thanks guys.
