infinity J30 injectors ?
#2
depends on if your n/a is early or late '93. i did a bit of searching a few weeks ago and from what i can tell, all j30 injectors are new style. so if you have old styles, you can't switch over directly.
so, if you have old styles, then yes, j30 injectors are better, but they don't swap strait in.
if you have new styles, then they're the same.

yeah, but the injectors don't fit in your rail. there's no efficient way i know of to convert just one. i see two real options:
1. for $525, bernie on tt.net sells a fantastic conversion kit all inclusive. rebuilt injectors, adaptors, new plugs, installed in the rails with new o-rings. i just got one. i believe it uses the standard deatschworks kit (however you spell it)
2. you can just buy the deatschworks kit and buy new injectors. that'll total pretty close to $1k.
other than that, if you want to do just one, just buy one injector. not a new one though. once one of your old ones are gone, the rest are probably soon to follow. so if you buy a new one, you probably won't get your money's worth out of it before you end up doing one of those two options i just listed.

no. you would need your lower plenum machined. it's a fairly simple procedure once you get it to the machine shop, but the bitch is getting it off. whole front of the engine and everything has to come off. you know the deal. then, you really need extra insulators below the rail. standard ones tend to pinch and break once the plenum has been machined. not sure where to get them.

These adapters from Z1 will let you put new style injectors in the old style rail. http://www.z1motorsports.com/product...oducts_id=3348

yeah you could save a little money and buy from Z1, the place that supports copied knock off parts instead of quality innovation. Z1's purpose is to destroy the Z community! they also have been known to turn into big babies when any issues come up with their customers, and a ton of people walk away from deals with them pissed off.

Z1 has stocked all the parts I have needed including OEM parts that Courtesy would have had to order. They have taken back some parts I ended up not needing and issued a credit to me without complaint. I even send them a couple of old catalytic converters and got store credit for them.
I thought the injector adapters were a quality innovation unless they copied them from someone else.
Don't see how they've damaged my small part of the Z community at all.

z1 damages the z community in general by supporting copied parts made by AMS. they are AMS's main dealer, and AMS has yet to innovate a part that i know of. they just sell cheap copies. every dollar spent on these copies is less that can go toward innovation for new aftermarket parts. by giving z1 business, you give AMS business. yes, this is a small factor. but it's kinda like voting. your vote doesn't really do anything, but it matters.
they seem to do ok most of the time, as far as customer service goes, but when anything does go wrong (bad part, unsatisfied customer, calling a bluff, and especially with in house work done to cars), they really break into sleeze mode and pull some really shitty stuff. you could search to find it. i'm not going to go digging up links for you, but bad experiences with Z1 are allll over the z forums. each but 3zc, because z1 runs 3zc.

i just expected your come back to include asking for sources. and, obviously you do care or you wouldn't have contended my statement by defending your side. if you didn't care, you would have just said "i like Z1".

I though it was clear I liked Z1 several posts back. I just don't care about reading about other peoples problems with Z1. For all I know those other people could be lying or stupid or both. If I personally have problems with them I will take care of it myself and find a different source for parts.
I only posted trying to help Lanoi and then I find out I am actually helping to destroy the Z community. I feel so ashamed.
