Help please????
I have a 93 non-turbo 300z---It was running fine when i killed it--went to start it about 10 minutes later, it would turn over but not crank, like it was not getting fire or something----ended up taking the ignition coil relay out of it's spot under the hood and put a paper clip in the plug----it cranked and ran well except a white like steam smoke coming out of the exhaust and it smelled like fireworks----got it home and went to parts store and bought a new relay---put it in and the car would not crank----next morning i went outside and put the old relay in the plug and the car cranked and runs well---what's up with that? Will it happen again? What should i do? I would appreciate any kind of help or suggestions. Thanks, Rodney
What do you mean when you say you "killed it"? How did you kill it?
I'd bet it's not the relay since it starts with the old relay.
As far as the exhaust goes, white smoke usually means burning coolant; i.e. a blown head-gasket.

i meant i turned the car off, when i killed it-------there is no white smoke coming out of the car now--the car runs better than it did before it messed up---i'm starting to think computer problems--where is the computer? Is there any way i can check it?---thanks
Interesting. Yes, you can check the ECU. It's located under the wood panel, under the carpet on the passenger side. Check the link on Rizzspeed's signature. It will take you to a link with all kinds of Z goodies.
