G'day
While reading through this thread, I actually think I felt a seizure coming on. Luckily you guys got it all figured out.
If someone likes the way the HKS system looks, then that's the best exhaust for their car. I personally don't like it as much as the Labree system sold by Specialty Z. I accept the fact that I may be losing a little power because the exhaust may not be as free flowing. The difference between the HKS and the Labree is enough power to show on a dyno, but probably not enough to feel. It's all about personal preference.

yea, it's going to sound a little different. Completely different compression, etc. Plus you can't hear the BOV in that vid. There's no load on the car when it's in idle so he couldn't create boost and set the BOV off.
That's not building boost. Yes, the turbos are pushing air, but they are not pushing enough air when the car is in neutral to increase pressure in the combustion chambers. When you mat the throttle with the car in neutral, what does your boost gauge do? It shows 0. Which means no boost. Boost at the recirc valves doesn't mean anything. If you want to do another check, disconnect a vacuum line and connect a vacuum gauge to it. Mat the throttle. Again...0.
