I recently bought a 1990 2+2 that was modified and has a 1993 JSPEC TT engine and tranny dropped into it. When I bought the vehicle I was informed that the speedo wasn't working but it has a new APEXi rev / sped meter that was displaying the proper speed.

Recently I have had an indicator light flash 16 times, when I turn the key on, a couple of times at low speed the power steering has kicked off for a couple of seconds at low speed. Today my cruise control kicked off and the APEXi RSM read zero for a bit and then went back up to speed.

Is this all pointing to a faulty speed sensor?
