imho, trash it and go with an aftermarket electric fan(s). It's worth a coupla horsepower and a few $ less.

You can usually wire them in thru a temp sensor. I've seen some kits that come with their own temp sensor. Instructions are usually provided.

Putting in a new fan clutch is a pain, not to mention if you get it put in by someone labor is expensive, when i got mine put in, you could hear the fan from a block away, if ur looking for something quiet, get an electric one, and if your worried about turning them on, canyon is right

Hey, NISMO's back. :woohoo:

The fan clutch on these cars isn't that hard to replace. I am swithching to an electric fan because it cleans up the engine compartment. As far as wiring an eplectric fan, you can just hook it up to a switched 12 volt source. That way it would turn on with the ignition. That would solve your problem with someone else driving your car. I think I'm going to run wiring up to my sport/touring switch and wire it in there since it's not being used for anything, or run a separate up to the dash. I'll only need to turn it on when it's hot outside and it would shut off when the car turns off.

Yea NISMO's back

And I think we've had this conversation before... I think I said in a previous post, I would like to be able to look down and SEE my underdrive pulley, and not the radiator shroud.

That electric toggle switch idea is pretty neat though 91, I would do it if I had a Z
