Well, according to the online manual, you should remove the cylinder head and the exhaust together as one piece then disassemble once it's all out.

Disconnect the header from the exhaust from underneath. It should be easier to reach the end of the header than the beginning of it from underneath the car.

Use your jack that came with car. It'll take some time, but at least it'll give you access from underneath. Get the car up in the air high enough to put 2 X 6 blocks of wood. 2 X 4 are too skinny and the factory jack is obviously not sturdy enough to trust with your life. Four 2x6's should work well on each side. Also, by doing this you can take the belly pan off and grab all the parts and tools you've dropped over the past couple of months.

you mean jack for the car, not the garage. Unless you're wanting to jack up the garage.

The car should have a jack. Don't have any jack stands?

Haha, you get my drift man. I think I could probably get it up, but its scary getting under a car that rides less than 5 inches from the ground, and my chest being about 12 inches. I cant imagine that would feel good. I've had some bad experiences with cars falling around me... Riz knows, 1969 Chevelle? Never take an engine out while its on the lift... "ooops... That can be welded back on right?" Haha. Peace foo's

Aw, come on. These cars only weigh about 3300 lbs. You can handle it.

My guess is that if it did fall it would only hurt for a second, maybe two. J/K If you place the jacks in the proper places, then you'll be fine. Just make sure the e-brake is set and block the tires. Place blocks of wood under the front tireas as well, if you're really paranoid.

Im going to put 4 cynder blocks, two on each side of the car, on the proper lift positions. To support the car, and blocks underneither each wheel. And I dont even think it would hurt for a second, I think I would end up just passing out before it happened, haha. Peace foo's

Make sure you use some duct tape in there also. Just to be safe.
