The only difference between the n/a auto and manual is the ECU.

The 20hp difference between the tt manual and auto was the fact that the camshaft profiles were different.

In case some of you don't know, the reason that a U.S.D.M. tt engine is preferable over a J.D.M. engine is that the J.D.M. engine uses the automatic trans cam profiles regardless of tranny option.
