clutch pedal pressure
my pedal seems to have too much pressure, i just replaced the clutch amster and slave cylinder and it started after that. do i need to bleed it or is there another problem?

is it a turbo? the turbos have a booster that can go out and make it feel stiffer.

NA i also had the pedal adjusted because the release point is alot farther out than it was before, but it still is farther out than i want it to be.

... maybe it wasn't as heavy as it was supposed to be before. If you just replaced the components, it is likely that the old equipment wasn't performing properly and is now.

i just thought that the pressure had to do with the release point which is 2-3 in off the floor.

yeah. lol that's what i said when i first heard. but yes, PS fluid will ruin the system after a bit of time. i speak from experience

Btw, air bubbles wouldn't cause a stiff pedal, it would cause a lack of pedal pressure. And for that matter, I'd propose that you had air bubbles before and not anymore.

yeah i cant think of ANY problem related to a clutch feeling stiffer and it be a problem with the hydraulics anyways. i say if its driving fine then done worry about it.

my clutch is slipping now, I guess thats the problem.

might have to adjust it, its possible it isnt allowing the clutch to engage fully now that you got the new strong hydraulics in there. that or its just its time to go.

it seems like when the more car is warmed up, the more presure there is on the pedal. sometimes the release point is where the slutch is almost all of the way out, sometimes its 2-3 in. the clutch hasn't slipped since that day so i'm going to wait on replacing the clutch for now

if it's unsteady like that (the release point), i will almost guarantee that it's hydrolic. bleed it properly (two bleed points) and see if that fixes it. if it changes it, but then it comes back, you have a leaking cylinder. you'll need to find the wet one and replace it. maybe both.

2nd bleeding it properly. Temperature should have almost no affect on the system.

ok i adjusted the switches the release point is fine now, but i moved my seat all the way back to get under there now the motor for the seat is burned out. i have to sit slouched just to drive it properly. the clutch still slips when its warm, im gonna bleed the system to see if that helps.

If the clutch slips while fully engaged and it's adjusted properly, it is NOT related to the hydraulic system... your clutch is probably just bad.

the hydraulic system is just for disengaging.

zlover is going to flame me for this suggestion, but i will mention that the guy i just bought my flywheel from had a stock N/A clutch with 8k on it that he was selling for 50 or less+ shipping. though, if you aren't VERY tight on money, it is not that much more to get a brand new exedy. i just got my whole kit for $150 shipped.

well it sounds like he needes a disk and presure plate first off and mabe a flywheel if and only if his is no good. and he wont know till its apart
