sebring/labree. Check out greg with specialty Z for this one, he makes great stuff and he's a great guy!

I just took my mufflers off the other night and it sounds BETTER than my friend's Z with Labree mufflers... So if you just want sound, thatsalways an option. it sounds really good, it's a free mod (can't beat that!), and it doesn't look bad either without the mufflers (for me at least, I had no Tip finishers, so mine looked like poo)....

sure way to get pulled over though

but I know the feeling, I actually drove around with open downpipes for a while... sounds kinda like a top fuel drag car (turbo of course). I loved it, but I was quick to put the exhaust on because I didn't want tickets

I actually had to turn the car off to order at the Taco Bell drive-through... LOL

Why would I get pulled over?? Tons of cars have exhaust cut off at half the car.. Or are you just talking about loudness of it? If so, mine isn't that loud... the labree's on my friends Z are a TAD bit louder, but sound worse...

Flow Masters!

I put 3" exhaust from the down pipes back. I stayed with the resonators and cats. and had Flow Master's American Thunders installed. I had a twin 3" chrome tips (2 / side) installed as well. The 3" exhaust decreases the back pressure to the optimum and give the Z a 'throaty' sound & with the Amercan Thunders, my Z sounds like a V8 mussle car!
This approach is allot cheaper than some of the other suggestions list, and is awesome!
Good Luck whichever direction you go!

for duel tips, the sebring or magnaflow mufflers is good. labree makes a system for your left nut.

i run with the hks cat back systen, the most free flowing exhaust in the market. its not duel tipped, but it has a nice growl you might be looking for. i might as well throw it at ya

my sound clip: http://www.zmods.org/vids/MVI_0119.AVI

I <3 HKS Hi-Power. And really, considering an exhaust is a performance modification and not a cosmetic or audio modification, best flowing should be the only thing that matters and therefore everyone should have HKS Hi-Power. Form follows function!

But of course, people want best looking and best sounding before they care about performance.

My priorities are: Performance, Sound, Looks... I just got lucky that HKS Hi-Power sounds damn nice in addition to performing the best.

I"m most definatly gonna get the borla though with the dual tips, bc I simply can't stand a single can, reminds me of the honda's (see sig) that roll around my town....

I'm a Nissan driver. This particular brand of driver prefers the looks, power, and handling of the lower-end RWD imports. I look at life from a different perspective (i.e. sideways). I change tires more often than I change My oil, and I prefer it that way

so in other words. I rather go with Good sounds. High performance. and looks are the last thing In my book.

the thing is, HKS is supposedly the freest flowing, but by how much? Does it really make a difference? I mean, I've never heard of someone changing out their exhaust to an HKS and hitting a faster time or getting more hp on the dyno or anyhting like that. To me, all the quality exhaust system's for the Z flow about the same, with maybe minor variations, if it's not going to be a huge difference, why not go with something that you'll enjoy with the looks and sound as well. It's a matter of taste IMO. If we really wanted to go with function>form, then go open dp's.

the extra couple horsepower matters to me. Like I said, I put performance above all else. Do you buy your turbos based off which ones look and sound the best? What about your intake? That's just my philosophy.

that's LaBree behind the straighter HKS Hi-Power
