I'm looking to replace the entire piece that goes along the trunk lid that has the 3rd brake light in it. Does anyone know what that piece is called?[

But called what according to whom? Really depends on who you're going to ask as to what it's called.

 

Ive been trying to search for one online but I just want to see if there are any that come in different colors as I would like it to be black. I called Nissan and they just referred to it as the 3rd brake light and gave me a price of $225

If you want it to be black, paint it black. But I hope you would want it to match the rest of the trim. What happened to yours?

They came either chrome, charcoal gray, or black depending on the color of the rest of the trim. Almost all the NA models (there were a few 1989 monochromatic versions that were black trim) were chrome. The turbo versions were either black or charcoal depending on the primary car color.

 

Mine is a faded maroon color and it has some stress cracks from pulling up on the trunk lid. My car is silver so I think that piece would look better black. Do you know any good websites that sell that piece?

I need a new one too, my is faded, cracked and looks horrible. Z1 motorsports sells them but they don't like shipping them because they always get broken during the shipping process. I would get one from Nissan but I don't want to pay that much. Ideas?
