300zx VS 3000gt
I am in market for a 300zx but wanted to go for power and speed. I need to get a 2+2 or a 3000gt vr-4, how could I get the 300zx to run with a vr-4?? I need to get the 4 seats so that is why I cann't get the 300zxTT. I really love the 300zx so I really want to get one. I am 20 and turning 21 next summer when I plan to buy the car if anyone is looking at selling a 300 2+2 then e-mail me. THanks.

I have read on here about that but really wonder what it would take and how much it would cost. You guys talk about getting a TT motor from a junk yard, but wonder how much that would cost and what it would take to put in? Also, would I want to rebuild the engine and the turbos??.. If I were to do this, what should I expect the price of the NA to be?? Any information on this would be great. Also if anyone near Akron, Ohio has a NA or TT please e-mail, I would like to come out and take a look at it and if possible drive it around the block so I know how they handle. Thanks.

converting n/a to a tt hmmm....
it would literally cost a s**t load....
probably better to get the n/a turbo charged..
although it's going to be hard to find anyone who makes turbos for n/as.... but you could probably try out turbonetics since they make turbos for any cars...
but adding tubo to an n/a... i heard dat there might be some side effects to it... or lose some comfort... in example losing a/c or so...
bottom line is... i don't think it's worth converting n/a to tt....

you really cant compare the cars. I know that I beat a VR4 in my TT. Turning an NA into a TT would cost so much more than anyone would want to spend. You would need much more than just the motor. You could always get a big shot of nitrous. But if you want a TT, then get a TT.

N/A + Turbo (Bolted on) = BOOM! BANG! KABOOMBOOM!
Compression won't be right, and many other things. As far as the swap goes...Open the hood...look at everything there....Take EVERYTHING OUT...and put everything from a TT in there...thats the only way to do it right.
Don't buy a VR4, Mitsubishi blows...sorry

If you really want a twin turbo that has 4 seats, try and find a jdm spec 300ZX. In japan, you can get a 2+2 that is also twin turbo. I am not sure if they are really rare, but they do exist. I would assume that that would be your best bet.
