Z Car Insurance Cost?

When I bought my 92 TT less than a month ago and traded the insurance over from my 03 SE-R Spec V (4sale@eBay PLUG ), I expected my insurance cost to at least stay the same. Considering the Z has over a $5k less Blue book, I was surprised my insurance went up. I guess it's because I gained over a hundred ponies and a few turbos, while losing a few doors and seats. My question is are you guys getting bent over on your policies, and can you recommend a good company for full coverage? I currently get a family discount with state farm.

That's weird. I was looking into getting an SER until I took a look at the insurance quotes. I would be paying way more ( I mean $500/6 mo) on an SER than I am now on my TT. Shop around. I have Progressive and they gave me a decent rate.

How? What coverages do you have for liability? What are your comp and collision deductibles? Do you have it as your daily driver? Do you have any other cars insured through the same company? What are you setup on for annual mileage?

Fairlady,...you're a spaz.

One thing I cut out of my insurance policies years ago was the part for medical insurance that covers me. It basically duplicate coverage that the insurance company won't pay anything on if you have personal medical insurance say thru your place of employment. There's also some other duplicate coverages that can be eliminated, but I forgot what they are now.

LOL.... next year I'll have been with the same insurance guy for 30 years. Every once in a while I shop around an no company comes close to the rates I pay with my Allstate guy. Even at $2100 every 6 months.

The Z runs me about $100 / month.

with geico, I'm paing $750/6 mos. This is very basic liability, which isn't a bad price for what it is. I've had a couple accidents, so that doesn't help out at all. Other insurance companies wanted twice what geico wanted, for the same coverage.

I'm still waiting to have these questions answered......Full coverage on a TT for only $80/month. Has your insurance company realized that they made a mistake yet?
