good luck finding a Z32 in good conditionfor under 3K. I got mine in mid condition. needed some maintenance. [over $500.00] a messed up front bumper, and a all out rice shifter. btu anyway. I got mine for 3500 plus licence and registration. and it spent more time being maintained up to specs than driven. well bottom of the line. good luck in getting a good condition Z for under 3K.
to be polite............. Z's aren't for kids on a budget or with limited funds....
The cost to purchase is only a small anount compared to the cost of keeping a 15 year old sports car going.

where do you live?
If you have snow in the winter where you live, I do not recommend you buy a Z unless you have a back up winter car.
Also, if you're hurting for money, then this isn't the car for you. Reliability is going to depend on the past history of the car. Repairs are expensive for this car and tend to need a bit of upkeep.

That's a lot like asking, "Does anyone know where I can find a Ferrari Enzo for only $500,000?"
I've found a few TT's for 5000 but in bad condition, either engine or body, sometimes both. I found a 91 TT bone stock with 59,000 miles this week.
I'd say you can find some decent NA Z's for about 5000 in good condition and fairly low miles.

I purchased my Z for $3500 but ended up having to spend about another $3000 on maintenance and a transmission rebuild about 4 months after driving it, and it still didn't pass smog for the longest time after all that. So if I had to do it all over again, I'd spend the time and little bit extra to find a decent one that didn't need the maintenance or the tranny. Not to mention when I got my Z it was horribly jacked up from a front end collision and from being stolen and mutilated....but I love it now after it was resurrected from the near death experience it had and all in all, it was worth it, so I guess you decide.

not to sound like an ***, but they can last you for a while and they can take some abuse. my z is compairable to my gf, its sucking me dry down to my last drop of blood.

but then its even worse if its not there anymore, and its still sucking you down
im losing both my ladies this fall
anyways...back on topic
yea...what they said.
every now and then you will find a dirt cheap Z with barely anything wrong with it. my friend told me of a time that he found a stealth TT for sale for 4000 with 120k on it. completely stock. in good condition. the owner just didnt know what he had. i think it ended up going for 3800.
Do not buy a Z if u just need a car to get around, these things are not cars of that nature, if u buy a Z its a project not a car. I bought my Z for 4400, 6 months later and i've spent another 12,800 and the car is still in the shop. I am doing a swap but the thing was a POS when i got it, cause if ur looking to get a Z in decent condition look to spend 8,000+.
sadly yeah my Z is my get arround car. so untill i can buy an S14 kouki it's gonna stay that way.plan to spend alot of money though. right now mhy budget has bin over 5,000+ and still growing. how do i do this you say only being 16. well I haev two jobs. liek my rined says . "if it dosent take hard work it's not worth it"
Here’s an idea, just spend your money on an 89-91 240sx (lighter than 92-94s), I must say that the similarities between my Z and my 240 are abundant, but the 240sx cost less than half that of my Z (but has almost half as much power).
240sx's are becoming -or already are- the next Civic, everyone wants one and you can pick one up for dirt cheap (like $500-1k for a frame, or 2-3k for a decent running one, then like another $2500-$3500 for an SR swap if you have some hookups or just the knowledge.)
But don't listen to people when they tell you to buy a Honda, go w/ the RWD, it's much quicker off the line, and the feel behind the wheel is so much nicer than either of the Hondas I ever owned. (I would never go back to Honda after experiencing the feel of my Nissans, but that’s just me.)
EDIT: Also, don't believe anyone who says that 240sx's are only for drifting, those people are idiots. 240sx's are light as hell and make awesome 1/4 mile cars too, oh yea...and also commuter cars...but I see that as a waste of a good car.
