Ur pulley

I had a question regarding a full pulley set or just the underdrive. Im replacing my vtc springs which is the cause of that dam ticking noise. But i thought to myself why not replace some other things while all that stuff is out.

Does the full pulley set give you any more power vs, just the underdrive pulley? I know the other pulleys are just accessories. But after searching i cant really find any info stating that the full set with give any more power.

Thanks in advance guys and info would be much appreicated. BTW i know my spelling sucks

I'd think twice about buying a kit that replaces the harmonic damper with a solid lightweight one. Your best bet is just to get a set that underdrives the accessories.

I havent heard of any Zs with problems with using a good underdrive pulley. as long as you arent running your engine for long periods of times at some high rpm, your crankshaft and accessories should be fine. but as far as the entire underdrive kit, most say it is just for bling factor

The underdrive pulleys are a hit and miss with peoples opinions, some swear by them, others say that they will cause damage on long term engines. The components are not effected enough to know a big diffrence.

well, switching out to a light weight underdrive pully frees up hp you allready have, rather then give you more.

many will say there's a good pickup in low-mid powerband. Revs climb much easier.

I DID THE EXACT SAME THING YOUR DOING. replaced those springs, and did my pulley also. The accessory ones are just for bling really. have fun getting the new belts on, they're a bitch and will take the most time. Make sure you order new O-rings for when you replace your VTC springs, they're what, 23 cents? I honestly WOULD not fool with helping anyone do they're UD pulley... I did mine, and that was enough, and i'll have to do it again at other times too.....
