tires/seats
ok two things.
first off i got power seats in my slicktop now!! well driver side anyways.
this guy i found wanted to trade since he is pretty big and the non powered seats are slightly lower.
also i was wondering 17" or 18" ? i want to run as wide of tires as possible without rolling fenders or doing any modification what width will fit on the front and rear?
im pretty sure a 10" wide tire will fit the rear just fine and i was thinking mabe an 8.5-9 in the front?
oh what would the offsets need to be?
last but not least, do you think i should make my custom whees? i have access to a fully programable cnc mill at my school what you guys think?

having access to a CNC lathe is only half the issue... a block of aluminum (or really any metal used for wheels) large enough to make a wheel out of costs upwards of $1500 (easily). Your custom wheels would cost you at least $6000...
As for sizes, I recommend 17" over 18" based on decreased rotational mass. Whether you go 17" or 18" won't matter for fender rolling as long as you get a tire with a small enough sidewall (the goal of any aftermarket wheel/tire combo should be to have the same height as stock wheels so that you don't impact your speedometer). I recommend fronts that are no more than 1" narrower than the rears (to resist understeer), so if you're doing 10" rears, exclude 8.5" fronts. As for offsets... I was never an expert with knowing what offsets are best. When I have time later on, I'll dig out the articles on tt.net that I have saved about the matter.

ok thats good to know on the width issue.
and the aluminum is not that big of an issue either.
my dad actually has 6 square chunks of it that measure 20"x20"x2"
well see what happens.
on the rears i was wanting to run a 255-275 profile tire and a 245-255 profile tire on the front or something along those lines.
ohh and i am going to test out my sewing skills and try to re wrap my seats in suede if its not that bad mabe i could do some for you guys

Yeah, and I wouldn't recommend making your own multi-piece wheels anyway... (and even if you did, you'd still have to buy the rim itself so you could bolt in the face).

You can squeeze 255 width tires on stock 8.5" rears if you get them meaty enough (MT ET Streets that you see on cars like Dean Delvy and other 10 second cars with stock wheels are 255 width), so if you plan on getting a wider wheel, you might as well get a wider tire. I have 285 rears (I think) on my Z. But the aspect ratio is what's going to save you from having to roll the fenders. (Why are you against that, anyway? Nothing wrong with rolling the fenders... it's not expensive and it allows more clearance.)

Quoth the Fresh Prince:
"every moment frontin and maxin
chillin in the car they spent all day waxin
leanin to the side but you can't speed through
Two miles an hour so everybody sees you"
Going slow is where it's at.

17x8 fronts and 17x9.5 rear (yes, I broke my rule... but I have really good tires so it's ok...)
I was wrong, my rears are 275. I could probably fit 285 though. Fronts are either 235 or 245, not sure of any of the aspect ratios.
