Stock BOV

Does a stock Z32 have BOV's if so where are they located and does anyone have a pair for sale. Also how do your stock intercooler pipes run. I'm putting in a frount mount and I can't even imagine where I'm going to run the piping. Does anyone have stock BOV's for sale.

It has recirculation valves, not BOV's. They're located in front of the radiator below each side of the intake 'T'. Like SNW said, the BOV's aren't necessary. Spend your $500 on something else. Many people install them for the sound they make; which is very 'rice'. BOV's aren't needed until you're putting out some massive horsepower.

Seriously, the FMIC....return and get larger SMIC's. SMIC's work better on these cars.

Sorry I knew they were going to be recirculated I used BOV as a general term.
My problem is I'm converting my car to twin turbo and don't have any stock stuff. So I'm trying to find out how the stock ones go so I have ideas to put mine in. The FMIC will work fine because of it's design and how I pipe it. I also plan on running big horse and don't want to upgrade later. If anyone has any stock pieces they are willing to donate or sell please let me know. Thanks

I'm not following your logic.....you have none of the stock piping, so you're going to install 2nd rate aftermarket equipment; which still requires the majority of the stock piping? I don't get it.

no. sorry. a FMIC will never be as good on a z32 as SMICs. FMICs do more bad than good on a z32.

not quite...recirc valves make a honking noise sometimes.

alex...i believe someone asked the same question about installing the intercooler pipes in their N/A a few weeks back...do a search for it
also, unless youre changing the physical aspect of the fmic...its not going to work as well as smics. there is a good amount of aftermarket smics for sale at good prices.
you will be blocking the rest of your cooling system with the fmic as well

Of course I don't have any stock piping the car was NA before. What do you me second rate aftermarket pipe. I'm getting a bunch of hard pipes and making my own piping to the intercooler. I just wan't to know how the stock ones were routed for ideas of how to route mine. STOCK SUCKS

stock routing doesnt suck to much... stock size IC's kinda suck that aboot it. the front mounts that youll be able to fit just wont be that beneficial and they are gonna block all the airflow to your oil cooler and radiator. and did you buy a TT motor? or did you just turbo your NA motor? i dont think i saw if you stated that anywhere.

I'm sure that the stock routing doesn't suck. It's just the piping itself sucks. The FMIC I'm putting in will work fine I'm hoping because it's big enough to cool the air but not really huge. Tell you what I'll post the size tomorrow.
The oil cooler won't be blocked because my NA didn't have one. So the aftermarket one I'm picking up is going off to the side where the passenger side side mount should be. The motor is a TT motor, tranny, ECU package that I bought from J-spec auto sports. It's in good shape and all but if anyone is planning to do one of these swaps go to Z1 and get the whole front clip off a JDM Z. You'll have all the little odds and ends that I now have to find.

... not to mention there isn't a Japanese carfax equivalent, so you have no real idea how many miles are on the engine other than the word of the distributor (and in this case, the word of where Z1 gets their clips).

Also neglecting the fact that Japan is an island... and therefore has high salt content in the air, which isn't great for engines.

But LOL at this whole thread.

I love threads by n00bs that discuss J-Spec engines and front mount intercoolers. It's just trajic that the car in question is a 300ZX... looks like another one will be ruined by the Fast and the Furious generation.

I wouldn't say you're ignorant.....you just seem to blurt out the 1st thing that comes to mind no matter how insignificant it may be.

I will give you credit on one thing....you're persistant. You may have a chance after all. I didn't like the last cat that my wife brought home, but after a few months of kicking him around the house, I started to like him a little.
