someone tell me where I can get a descent pair of side skirts for my 1990 n/a without having to pay a fortune for shipping?

 

no where.....you can try ebau but i dont think they sell just sideskirts, try though. besides that the box they come in is huge, no matter what expect to pay 150-200 for door step delivery. shipping an object that large is always heavy. otherwise find your nearst sport compact car store that sells bodykits, usually they can get your sideskirts from their dealer and just fit it in with one of their shipments and hook you up with a deal, but you might have to wait a month or 2.

 

why do you want sideskirts? If you go cheap on them, they won't fit right, you'll also have to spend cash on paint. It's not an inexpensive mod.

 

I am spending damn near 3 thousand dollars on a paint job. i dont have a problem spending themoney for the side skrts, I just dont watn to have to pay just as much for the shipping as I do the skirts.

 

and there enlies the problem that cant be solved...unless u try my other suggestion, find a shop that carries bodykits ask if they can fit in you sideskirts wiht one of their shipments..

 

The reason shipping charges on bodykits (or sideskirts in this case) are so much is because it has to go freight, and sometimes w/ insurance.....they can't just ship that stuff via FedEx or UPS, so it is automatically going to cost you $100+ just for shipping ANYWHERE. A cheap set of sideskirts should be like $99-$150 (fiberglass), and $150 + 100 s/h is a killer deal, so good luck trying to find a better deal anywhere else (ebay included).

Another option is to buy them and go pick em up, it is a huge money saver that way, and not much risk of them getting messed up before they get to your car (assuming you live anywhere near the manufacturer).
