Security Light

The Security Light on my dash flashes constantly. My doors, hood, and trunk lid (convertible) are all closed. The key is out of the ignition.

If I don't drive my car for a week or two, the battery is dead. Any ideas on why my security light won't stop flashing?

Thanks...

sounds like a short and/or one of the switches is no longer working.

Had the same problem and the factory alarm control was screwed. had it removed and installed an aftermarket alarm.
How's the bonnet on the hood switch??
Mine was spiking from .9A-1.7A with the flash of the security lamp. Finally got it down to 700MA draw. When my vert sits for a long period I disconnect the battery now.

Something that just hit me , there is supposed to be another sensor that is located in the center console behind the radio face plate. Only on a vert. You changed the stereo lately????

my boot is torn on the hood switch. Thanks for the tips guys. I'll start going through each switch until I find it.

It doesn't do it all the time so I'm guessing a switch has dirt and corrosion built up inside and working half the time.

I think you can unplug the switch and it will show it as closed at that point.
