Rebirth.

Well I know my 280zx brothren will probably wonder why I am doing this instead of the 280zx, but I am sourcing out a cross-member for it with manual or rack and pin steering since the turbo is just touching that recirc-ball one and that is not good with me so its on hold again. Alas...

================================================== ======
This 300zx was my brothers, but work moved him over seas so he gave it to me, I will not complain. Here it is the way it was before. This winter it got hit by someone turning around in my driveway. I feel the poor girl needs some love, and I am trying to give her a new beginning, easier life, and more care.
================================================== ======

Progress so far. I will update as I go hopefully. I plan on painting it as well, if it turns out half as good as when I painted the 280 I'll be thrilled.

Enjoy.

This was actually on my way to Shady280s house, looong time ago :/

Ripping **** off...since the front nose was moulded into the fenders...I had to rip everything off and separate and clean up the original fenders..what a PITA.

Test fitting new front which I am in love with.

The old nose had no "pins" for the middle panel, it would just flap in the wind...so I made new ones simply by putting a bolt through the bracket on the nose that lines up with the panel (if makes sense)

You can see the 2 middle bolts are longer...for that nose panel to fit into

New wheels...whoever had this before (not my brother) put ...7.5" wide wheels...not sure why you would go narrower than stock :/

they are 18x10 back 35 offset and 18x.8.5 front 20 offset. LOVE THEM!

comparison in width lol

Always loved the stock TT wing, but thought it looked just out of proportion to the lines and size. So I bought a cheapo knock off wing for it, the fit is atrocious but since I am modifying it I dont care.

I am extending it all the way to the windshield, and getting rid of the wiper as well.

That's all for now. Waiting for the glass to dry more so I can trim. Hopefully have it painted all by next week.

3m 3 part cutting and polishing.

most of it is done just front and rear bumpers to so!

I think I will finish off with mothers or meguiares polish to bring out the deepness of the paint and call it good...wax it in a month.

I have no plans on doing anymore improvements as far as that goes, It has down pipes, test pipes, greddy exhaust, 14psi set EBC with jwt ecu upgrade and intake. I might get a one piece alum drive-shaft, that's about it. Just want to drive it , enjoy it and take care of it.
Cheers.

was gonna go for a drive but its raining like a mother****er...no point
The one thing I will have to source out is, notice in the pictures that the bumper doesn't have the foam support for the fascia. Whoever had it trashed it to put that other kit on, so I have to look around for one, as its very easy to push the center of the fascia in.
