race track trouble
During driver training at the local race track, my friend's '94 Z32 n/a was belching smoke out of the outside exhaust pipe (left side while turning hard right) and making lifter noise. He initially thought it might be from oil sloshing to the side of the oil pan, but it has been suggested that there is a problem with the PVC location on the Z32. Any ideas as to what may be causing this problem and how to correct it? It only happens under hard cornering, and the car checks out perfectly otherwise, good oil pressure, etc.

Re: race track trouble
I know this is a known problem with the cars under high g forces. I can't remember where I saw this though and searched for about 10 minutes with no luck.
I'll keep looking for you though.

Re: race track trouble
In Sport Compact Car magazine November issue Vol 13 No. 11 there is an article about mod's done on a 300ZXTT. The owner resolved the oil sloshing to the PCV valve by plugging up the holes and moving the PCV valves to the top of the valve cover. Wonderful idea and saves loads of time when replacing.
