Questionable Material...

Early 90's MR2 Kouki Tail lights on a Z32

Not sure what I think about this...

A friend showed me this. I have another friend who claims to have seen G35 tails on a z32. Anyone else have strange tailight converson pics for the z32?

Tim

The 99 JSpec Z32's tail lights are the best looking tail lights ever conceived by man. Why anyone would get anything else is far beyond me.

I like those MR2 tail lights way better.
350Z LED tail lights are one of my favorite but I've never seen them put in another car.
G35 and 370Z tail lights suck

Are you kidding me? Have you no attention to detail?

-clear turn signals
-striped lens inserts
-chrome inner housings
-red "300ZX" vs. grey

They're completely brighter than USDM as a result, and they look FAR more modern. The center panel is also thicker, making indiglo center panels easier as the light doesn't bleed through the black.

ok i see now. i kinda thought the only difference was the seemingly white turn signal. so, they are bigger, white turn signal, and red symbol. they do look really nice.

^^^ They're not any bigger... else they wouldn't fit. When I said thicker, I meant the material (plastic) is thicker.

I actually photoshopped the numbers back on because I spray painted it in real life to prevent the cops from seeing it.

duct tape, then when you get around the corner you can rip it off...

"why are you pulling me over sir"
"we were chasing you, you just had duct tape over your liscence plate"
"no i didn't, did you ever think Nissan, in some crazy scheme to turn a profit, made more than one Nissan 300zx??"

innocent until proven guilty. no one could convict that **** as long as you aren't on camera =)

It's actually illegal to modify a license plate. I hate how far we've come from the original vision of America.

My response was mocking the people who edit it out for pics as if someone online is going to do something with it... because 500 people a day don't have a direct line of sight to a license plate on a car...

yeah. great look. i'm going to be changing mine over by taking them apart and changing the lens. it's a really cheap way around spending $375 on the whole set.

^ and it's going to look like a cheap way around spending $375, too. Are you going to [try to] chrome the inner housings, too? And what about the black stripes on the lens? Gonna try to paint those on or something?

not going to chrome. and i'm not big on the stripe, so i'm not doing that either. really, right now, it will be an improvement, but by no means is the real JDM set up worth it to me. i'm going to polish the outsides up nicely and put white lenses in, and admire the great improvement that even that will be for such little expense. remember, poor college student lol. if i thought it would look bad, i wouldn't do it. but seeing the pictures of the job that i have, i know it will be at least an improvement.

Let him make a mistake. It'll make it all the more amusing when the "broke college student" ends up spending the money for the materials and then more money for the legitimate JSpecs a little later.

Buy cheap...

lol i love how you didn't even need to complete the statement.

no, not the fluorescent light covers. i'll find something better than that. i'm not sure yet.

both fake. not that bad IMO. really, all i want to do is change the yellow to clear. i'll find a nice looking lens and be careful and i don't expect it to be too bad at all. if it is, screw it. lesson learned lol.
