Question regarding ECU.
ok so my brother lives in alberta and has decided to ship hes computer out to Ash to get it upgraded...well...when he went to ship it the company called the CANADIAN CONSULATE!! and told him that they cannot ship it for some reason....hes gone to other places and he gets same replies...or that they dont guarantee hes shipment...
do any of you (or other canadians here) know what is the deal with this?? first thing i tought was maybe due to emissions but i have no clue...and i dont know how he is going to send it out now...
any ideas are appreciated...

When I was working as a tech, UPS used to require that we "double box" the system with styro peanuts inbetween the two boxes or bubble wrap or something similar. Find one large box and then a smaller one that will allow room inbetween for the styro or wrap or whatever, then tell the shipping company whats been done. If all else fails, just don't tell them what's in it or find someone local to do the upgrade or whatever...
Hope this helps...

Wow. I sent mine out to Ash in June via Purolator and had no issues what so ever. They did ask what I was shipping and I told them it was a computer piece that required repair. Off it went.
I'm not sure why there would be an issue. There is nothing hazardous about the contents of the package.
