Question about Stillen SMIC's

I know They use the same hoses as the stock SMIC's and mount the same. I I also know they need special airducts my question is When using the JSpec Front bumper/fascia will the Stillen airducts work or can my Jspec airducts be retrofitted to work on the stillens (will they need to be made to work with the stillens to correctly take in air)

The stock air ducts cannot be modified to work with Stillen SMIC's. When you get the Stillen SMIC's and compare them size-wise to stock, you'll understand how ridiculous your question is. The Stillen's are WAY too big - there'd be no way to retrofit ducts meant for the tiny stock intercoolers to aide airflow to the entire surface.

And the ducts are only recommended - you can run the SMIC's without them (I do).

And why do you think the ducts would fit any differently with a JSpec fascia compared to a USDM fascia? (They won't.)

The Jspec air ducts are larger and differently shaped then the usdm air ducts. 2 months ago I messed up my Z and replaced the usdm with a jspec and ordered the jspec ducts with the bumper. So I assumed the stillen air ducts wont contour to the jspec front bumper as they should.

Mabye I wont run airducts will save me money and if YOU arnt running any then I know its not the stupidest thing I can do with my Z.

The ducts will improve efficiency (I plan to get them someday), but the Stillen intercoolers are very good units so there will be a marked improvement over stock even without the ducts.

And there is no reason the Stillen ducts won't work with the JSpec fascia - one of my friends has that exact setup.

Thanks for letting me know they work fine!!!! I may just do it right from the beginning and get the ducts since the bumpers gonna be off (but then again I'm poor and can take the bumper off, not the worst tack ever)

The Stillen ducts will need to be trimmed, but they will work. I run them and have installd them on other j-spec facia Z's.
