power steering mounting bolt?

on the 91 zx2+2 is there one or two bolts that hold the pump on the top? the dealer ordered the bolt but it was like an inch long it looks like it needs a long bolt to go trough the pump and bracket. anybody know?

There are three bots on the power steering pump itself. one that goes thru the top of the pump and bolts it to the bracket. On the bottom two are the tesion adjustment bolts. one about 6" long that bolts perpendicular to the pump the second is the bolt i think you are talking about. i goes thru the bottom of the pump and connects to the 6" long bolt. Its hard to explain. i think pictures would do best but at the time of this post i dont have any links for ya. I would try the online service manual on Riz's link page. Hope this helps.

I left the top most bolt undone on mine, mainly because it wouldn't go back in after putting my UD pulley on and the belts that were sent with them. it's bolted in just using it bolted to the brackets and pump is completely UNTENSIONED and the belt is tighter than my old one was with the stock Crank pulley. It isn't squeeling, loosened and is still tight after 3k + miles....
