POLL: Favorite Chassis Type
POLL: Favorite Chassis Type
Ok guys ( and Girl), I ve been argueing with a few buddies over which chassis think is the best, what handles the best, what looks the best. i m wonderin what everybody prefers, your choices are:
1) 2+0 T-top
2) 2+0 Hard top aka Slick top
3) Convertible
4) 2+2 T-top
and just for giggles, if it was ever made
5) 2+2 Hard top aka slick top
Let me know what everybody thinks.
Personally, I choose the slick top. i own both a t top and and a slick top, and the slick top just feels more comfortable. That and the fact that the chassis is more rare.

How's this for a not so straight answer.
2+2 = better handling due to slightly longer wheel base
Slick top = slightly better structure rigidity and slighly less weight...and yes more rare.
2 seater looks sportier than 2+2
Vert = damn it's a vert, sweet!
I like the handling of my 2+2. Like lightspeed, my kids get to ride and with the T-Tops I get the openness on those beautiful days.

I've owned both a slicktop and I now own a 2+0 t-top. To my knowledge, I didn't notice much of a difference between the two. As for the weight, I've weighed them both. My 2+0 t-top weighs 3330- full tank of gas, t-tops on, with spare tire, jack, etc..gutted. The Slicktop weighed in at 3300 with spare tire and such still on. I also had 18" TSW Catalunyas on my Slicktop and on the t-top I have 17" chrome rims. So I really couldnt tell you what handles better, is faster. Overall I prefer Slicktop with a TT conversion, YUMMY.

The decals are from the NISMO kit off of a 350Z. i bought it with hopes of puttin it on. But the Z33's graphics are too short for the Z32. i only have the hood piece on now. And i put the door and rear bumper ones on too.
Hehe, good answer. I'm not biased towards either for the fact I've owned them both. I have to say I prefer the look of the slicktop, it just looks so smooth. I prefer the look of the Z with the t's on..
Good questions, all 3 of them, and I'll address them to the best of my knowledge.
Best Chassis....All the Zed32 are the same except for lenght and 4 wheel steering.
Best Handling.....The shorter wheelbase of the 2 seaters make them handle quicker and have faster response. As for the 4 wheel steering, I don't know of anyone into serious racing that uses it.
Best Looks.....Looks are in the eye of the beholder. Personally I like the 2 seaters.
