Hi everyone. I just bought a 1990 Nissan 300ZX 2+2. Awesome car. It was running real rough when I bought it. Bought it for $1800. I got it home and found the cylinder #2 fuel injector had a wire pulled out of the connector. I cleaned the corrosion and crimped it back into the connector and it runs like a dream.
It needs some TLC. A lot of cosmetic work needs to be done, both exterior and interior. I've only found the rack & pinion leaking and the valve cover gaskets leaking. A couple of vacuum lines look out of place, but nothing I can't fix. Throttle sticks. I've cleaned the throttle bodies real good and it seemed to help for about 10 miles then went back to sticking.
I have plans to do the TT swap or just TT this motor. I know its a lot of work and money, but I have time and patience.
I was disappointed when I got beat by a Civic last week. Granted he did have the Type-R motor swap and is a whole lot lighter than I am.
Any suggestions or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Hope to be helping and recieving help on here with everyone.
Thanks,
Kevin

I used a towel, cleaner, and a finger. They were pretty nasty when I started. They are real clean now. My next try will be to spray some kind of lube on the linkage and rub some lube on as much of the throttle cable as I can.
