Recently aquired a 300zx 1992 2+2 auto. It was real clean when i bought im hoping to enjoy it for a long time but i can tell already it needs some work.
When ever it idles sitting still the car eventually dies, also when ever i turn on lights ect other things (lights) seem to get a bit dimmer on the dash board.
Any idea's where i should start ?

CHeck your spark plugs. if dirty replace. Lights go dim ? alternator problem just go to auto zone and have them do a alternator check. Hope some of this helps. while at autozone get only NGK iridium spark pluhs makes a huge differance than cheep spark plugs.
PFR6G-11 for his non-turbo.
And I 2nd having the alternator looked at.

Brought it back to the dealer i purchased it from. When i bought the car he told me any labor on the car for repairs would be done by his mechanic and i would only be charged for "parts" so im waiting to see what happens if not im gonna roll up the sleeves and become mr fix it.
USE ONLY PREMIUM OCTAIN ! 90+ !!!! I had some time to think about it and you could of used 86 grade gas witch would make your z32 run crapy i know !!! trust me i asked my step son to go inside and pay for gas and then pump my gas i told him premium gas only he put in the low grade fuel 86 rateing and my car ran like a dog that onyl had 3 legs ! after i found out what happened my step son learned that when daddy says premium he meens it ! damit ! its not just a car its a "Z " !!!
So i got off the phone with the dealership that sold me my car. They told me oil leaks on nissan engines are common and that even if it were to be fixed it would come back in 3 months how true is this ?
(He said it was a leaky valve cover)

And the original grade NGKs work fantastic. I never saw a need to get the more expensive iridium ones.
I just realized that you asked this in here. In the future, don't start new threads for things that can all be discussed in one thread - it's annoying.
