Solid Billet Motor mounts or polyurethane mounts.

I was on ebay since i need new motor mounts and i came across these two, would anyone know a difference? Like I assume the Solid aluminum billet mounts reduce engine movement and better for launches and will never need replacement.. but i dunno

What do you all think? Aluminum or poly?

Im putting a VG30DETT into my Z31, I dont know if you have seen my post on the Z31 forums already.. but my motor is inside, i just need new mounts since the stock ones are a little worn out. im going to use these as a guinea pig to cut and mold to see how they will work nicely, then i will buy them again if they are of quality material and do them correctly for my swap

well the thing is, since the DETT motor is a little taller than the VG30E, i want to see how much im going to cut To make sure the hood closes with enough space for piping and etc. As it is, the mounts are Alot thinner and smaller than the OEM mounts. So if i need to cut some poly, Il do so and do what i can do.. if ive got Alot and it still needs more clearance, then Il just take the Hood to a body shop and have it Lifted.

The polly mounts are known to fail soon after installation.

I installed these...

I imagine that you could use a thinner bushing to get the height down some if needed. Talk to the designer I bet he could be of some help.
