I just re-ringed my dett and im getting alot of oil burning going on. I pulled it back apart and found lots of oil in the lower plenum and can tell there has been alot in the combustion chamber. the head gaskets don't look like they sealed between the cylinders but the heads and block are flat.
when I first started the engine it had lifter clatter so a buddy added a quart of oil and it stopped,it appeared to be low but im not sure the dipstick tube was seated.It started off with 3 qts. he added 1 qt. and the oil pan was modified (cut off the potruding section) to fit it into my z31 so I know it had to much oil. is there any way it could have been drawing oil past the head gaskets.
