looking at z's.

what would you guys pay for a '93 2+2 with around 80k miles in great shape other than a police recovery title? it had been stolen and partially dissasembled, but was found with all parts and put back together by a dealership in 1999, so all numbers match. 60k has been done.

not red, pearl white with the tan leather(sexxxy). kbb doesnt give values for branded titles. i was wondering how much you would knock off for the recovery/rebuild title. its not a salvage title, so it wasnt wrecked, but still, i would think the recovery/rebuild title would knock a bit off.

High end wholesale is $5700 for that car, usually add in $1200-1500 for resale, Drop 1500-2000 for branded title, puts you back at wholesale or less, I'd guess from $4800 to $5200. That's just guessing at it.

looked at it. fascia was cracked, 3rd brake light panel was cracked, leather was cracked and faded, carpet was dirty, the whole interior was kind of grimy, there were sunflower seeds everywhere, even under the back carpet, engine was filthy, and the passenger door didnt shut flush to the body. he wanted $10K. I walked.

They always say "But it's a classic". Stopped at the state line north of here and looked at a 280, no motor, no tranny, interior looked like dogs sleeping in it and they only were asking $6000 for it. Guy says it's a classic and worth every penny. Nearly fell over trying to get back in the truck.

Unbelieveable..... I stop and look at a lot of older chevys and fords and these people want $8 - 10k for stuff that needs full resto........ and they sell for that much. I have an acquaintence that paid $6500 for a 30's chrysler body that was all rusted out. Got it off a farm in nebraska.
