Building with I think is a fairlady, so far iv done, new pistons cams work new Springs values valve Springs and rods. Motor is all bad together and I believe I'm having vacuum leeks I know one in the balance tube and I know hopping the rest is my stock intake pipping it's getting cracked but need advice on moving forward and getting This car back on the road and at shows where it belongs! Any help at all would be more then helpful!thank you for your time

Well if you think you have vacuum leaks. You should test for leaks. You can pressurize the system, and check if you hold pressure. You need an adapter to attach where the MAF goes. This is a really thorough guide on how to test and find leaks.

You can make your own tester pretty easily, do you have access to an air compressor? I made one out of a PVC cap long time ago, worked like a charm.

Thank you, I'll give that a go, I know most of my problem is in the factory intake piping I'll start there and in the mean time also try your suggestion so I can find them all at once,

Yup, happy hunting! Don't get carried away with pressures, I would regulate air at the compressor and at the intake, so 2 regulators. Not much PSI like the article says, you don't want to blow out seals.

Yeah iv got access to a leak down check that might be a little safer bet so it's just smoke coming out easier to see I'm sure just need to get it to the shop, over had it running twice since all new internals : ( only tried 3 times but the last time couldn't get it started again, seems like these are very fragile motors as far as it doesn't like little things off at all!

That would be a better way to go. Does it even turn over now or? If you don't have sufficient voltage, it might not even start. These cars love perfect electrical systems, I had a crappy battery, it wouldn't hold charge, I would boost start it, as soon as voltage dipped down a little, the car stalled, like you turned the key off. Changed battery good to go. But who knows what your issue is, not much info we have. Since you tore apart the motor, you could get lucky and solve the issue if you see something obvious, but since everything was removed, I think a more meticulous troubleshooting process ensues for you. Test for leaks, check your spark, fuel, and timing, as per any engine.

yeah i starts and runs here and there, its supper touchy iv got the new pipping coming im hoping it will be here this week but with the holidays its anyone's guess. i did the smog test and the smoke came from pretty much where i expected, so i think im dead in the water tell the parts show up, so after replacing all new vacuum lines i found a little pip cleaner looking thing and two little brass circle things are these important to the vacuum in the car ?

The replacement hoses should have the restrictor and flame arrester in them. For sure don't run the car without that restrictor. This is in the PCV hose right?

one was on the drivers side pvc, and the other was on the main rear passenger vacuum line from the rear smaller line into the bigger top intake manifold, i didnt get factory vacuum lines just bought all new lines from my dealership, iv put them in line from where i took them out, in exception of the weird wire brush cleaner,
