hey,
can you give a little better information on the z? have you seen it? where is it located? im assuming this is a NA? that does seem unormally low for it. i am sorry i cannot do the VIN check for you, but i would deffinately check it out.

Re: Looking into a 93 300zx
Thank you ffcraker for the email on the carfax report. I talked to the guy yesterday and he told me that the so called reason for the junk/salvage title was due to a very heavy hail storm we had here in twon about a year ago or so. Apparantely the owner had the car in the shop when it happened and was left outside and substained a lot of hail damage....the hood is full of dime size dings and so does the back! I still dont think that is the reason for the junk title, but the engine looks untouched and from one quick look under the car the chasis seems straight. Though the inside is in ok condition, they put in new seats, the clutch is a bit loose and the leather shift **** seem to be way worn off for a car of only 47xxx miles. Well for $5000 I think it might be worth it!??!

I would be very careful..
The one thing about the Z is that you may get it for cheap but working on the car is *NOT* cheap..
Aftermarket parts are *NOT* cheap..
I would say go for it if you have at least 10k to sink into it, as you may be heading down a long road..
Also check the pedals to see if they have a lot of wear on them, if they do then the 47k miles may be a farse..
I'd be a little leary on this one though.. I know it's hard to resist but finding a mint car such as I did is worth the wait..
