Looking at a 90 z32 n/a at

Im looking at getting my first Z, up untill now i have only been interested in my beloved DSMs but after some one hit my current (3rd) one totaling it I came across a 90 300zx at n/a w/-t-tops for 3k : 0 It has 220000 miles and is getting a new power stearing pump (really needs it) and seems to drive ok, still has some kick (im used to light turbo cars so it doesnt seem too fast) also the check engine light was ok, owner said it turns off after some amount of driving (any ideas?) and needs a little body work. Any thing else to look for in a used Z?
Any way to tell when the timing belt was last changed?
Also what kind of cheap/easy mods can be performed on one of these bad boys?

220k miles, check engine light, needs bodywork---> I would try to find something with lower miles.

Yeah i know its not a diamond but it still is soo nice to drive (just like any other im sure) and the price is the best i have seen around here (only other in the price range is another 1.5k)
The owner is going to have a shop put in a new power steering pump and check the cel to see if its serious

Looks ok from I can see. Yeah I would try to talk him down some. Have the foglights been removed or painted over?

Has that car been in a collision?
Front end totaled and front end rebuilt?
You ever seen something plastic molded and there's that left over flash that fills the empty spots that your supposed to press/cut out?
That's what that reminds me of when I look at that front bumper. Those look like the leftover flash that's supposed to be removed instead of painted over foglamps.

I'm guessing collision also.....Nissan logo is gone from the stock center panel; which is also a frequent indicator. I'd keep looking.

Turns out they are painted over lol
My lasers water pump decided to quit working all together this morning so after missing a day of work the z seemed like a bargain ( and i just really want one )

I will keep posted on if it just dies on me or not
