Left Turn Signal Didn't Work

Thought I would share this in case someone else runs into the same issue.

Left turn signal worked, hazards worked, but my right turn signal didn't. It would lock into position and disengage after a turn like it should, but no clicking sound and no flashing light. All four corners would flash when I used the hazard button.

Figured it must be the switch. Nissan no longer makes the switch and they are very expensive used. So it must be the switch.

Took off the kicker panel under the dash, unscrewed the top and bottom steering column covers and removed the switch. I removed the white assembly from the rest of the switch. Then I could see the contacts for the left and right turn signals. The left one was a little dirty, but the right contact was fouled. Didn't look like the right side was making contact anymore. Sanded both surfaces down and then pried the contacts up a little to make sure they made a connection. Added a little dielectric grease to be sure.

Put it all back together and miracle of miracles it works. Now I can turn right again. Very nice.
