Identify this spoiler...

I'm not very well versed in the body styling for the Z32. I think Zlover has posted a pic of a Z32 with this spoiler b4 but I wasn't able to find one online. Just wondering the name for the spoiler.

I'm purchasing this spoiler I like the look of it, I like that it doesn't cover the top panel and have a built in 3rd brakelight like the stock 90-93 spoiler.

The car seems to have a stock (looks stock) body kit, but ifI remember correctly it is a Automatic NA, I know for sure that it is NA.

Thanks for your responsesm, I'm sure this will be answered pretty quickly.

-Oh it felt like polyurethane or something, not 100% but it deffinately isn't the same material my stock spoiler is made out of.

I don't recall posting that particular spoiler, but...

http://www.wingswest.com/catalog/p17...duct_info.html

You should rethink that purchase... look how "well" it fits.

And from the pics you posted, it seems to be a full Wings West kit.

Thanks for that quick response. I could have sworn I looked up wings west, I had been trying to look up a spoiler that had a hole where the stock 3rd brake light is (the spoler covered the top panel but had a hole the size of the brakelight) Still never found that spoiler but it's fitment was kind crappy.

Oh other than faded paint the spoiler is in perfect condition. Only $200 so thats like 1/2 price almost. I like the look of it. Plus I'm going to just cap the upper holes from my spoiler so I can switch back. I felt the fitment was fine. I have more pics but they wouldn't load. Also my car is a kinda dark green as you know, so it should blend in smoothly

That one is an old Stillen unit (called the Stillen Sport Wing), no longer made. Been out of production for over 5 or 6 years, at least. And they start to sag with age, so that gap for the third brake light ends up being partially blocked.

Ah I saw that Stillen spoiler @ a small meet but never saw the owner to ask. Yea that red Z is a retired track car up @ the Thunderhill Raceway. The CEO of the track owns it and 2 other NA Z's that he used to race. I still feel for $200 it's a really good deal. We'll see how everything turns out.

i just figured out that i have that stillen sport spoiler. i really expected mine to be some cheap no name, but it seems to be the only educated purchase that any PO has made for the car. it is sagging a bit around the TBL, but i'll be fixing it sometime.

Cool... it's like a limp version of my Kaminari... about the same length, but not as tall.

I like the stock spoilers, Jspec, and I'm partial to the Stillen Type III's, like a taller jspec.

Of all the tall spoilers for the Z32, the Type-III is the only one I remotely like. Its problem is that it kills the look of the Z32 from the rear. Looks great from the side, just not from the back.

And I'm not really a fan of the JSpec spoiler.

uh... by definition a spoiler is "a device for changing the airflow past a moving vehicle, often having the form of a transverse fin or blade mounted at the front or rear to reduce lift and increase traction at high speeds." Says nothing of height.

"wing" is the slang term for spoiler... spoilers can be tall or short

spoilers sit flush with the trunk/hatch, wings allow air to travel underneath the aero surface, have you never watched Fast and the Furious? lol

ask snw he flies airplanes...

That Type III does look hella wierd from the rear hella surprising it does look good from the side....hmm If I had the extra money to spend I'd probably buy the same as you Zlover, I just like the look of a flush mount spoiler and I think that price is a steal. If it came down to it I probably could sell it painted for more than I bought it for. Plus my spoiler is cracked on a driver side mount so I figure I should replace it.

In retrospect, it's definitely an upgrade over the 94+ TT spoiler.

HA! Yeah all my friends are like why would they change it! I don't have an answer for them all I know is it takes alot of the sexiness out of the Z. Best part about it tho is I think cops see m and go oh just a middle aged gentlemen going aout his business. (I always think in my mind old timer car when I see the spoiler) Tho I went spoiler-less one week...Even my table tennis spoiler was an improvement. (not enough edge, plus ppl would think I'm NA from a distance)

Well, the nice thing about it is that it doesn't really restrict the view because it's tall enough to see under. It was standard SMZ equipment, so I wouldn't necessarily call it "rice," and it does look good from the side... it just comes down to "how do you feel about it from the back?"

See thats whats important because thats where most people will be see'ing my car from. lol jk. I have a spare hatch, maybe i'll pick up the stillen type III and use it to cover the extremely minor hail damage on one of my hatches.
