I might have found another 300zx

well, after searching around a bit i found a local 91 tt for sale.it is black on black manual. I am waiting for some pictures, but it is one owner with 54k original miles, all stock. it needs two rear tires and a wheel bushing. What do you think is the fair price. there are a few dings and scratches, but it is to be expected. Thanks for your help guys, I might be getting another Z fever

w00t! Go take a good look at it before talking any price to the owner. Start low and hold out.

maybe start at 7k. it's quite unlikely that it will go below that.

I checked kbb ( i know it's not the best given the vehicle) but it said in good condition it should be around $6500. it's been 3-4 years since i've owned a z32, so just wanted to see what you guys think it's worth

Hell I paid 10K for a 96' with 86K on her. I dont know what Z's go for around your area but in Sacramento there arnt ever good choices for Z's so I wasnt concerned with paying what the car was actually worth.
GL hope the Z fever brings back good memories and can match up to your STI (Not that bad of an upgrade choice I must say)

hey B what up?

the car actually has 45k instead of 54k. i don't know if i mentioned but he said it needs a rear wheel bearing and rear tires. he is asking 10k, i just called him to see if i can take a look at the car. the pictures he sent me were not bad. interior is PERFECT, being that it was Washington DC car it does have a few cratches on the rear bumper.

thanks tim. I sold the sti , and after seeing the new STi's i am regretting it. Interesting thing is that i never got over the z32 style. I almost purchased a 350z, and i am getting a 370z for sure ( 2 or third year production). you know what they say, once you go "z" you never go back

yeah whatever "chip" they put in #2... i have never heard of it. it's certainly not one of the best. is there really a "chip" for these cars anyway? i was under the impression that we changed ECU's, and that you couldn't just change one chip out of them and call it a day.

you've never heard of dinan? LOL LOL LOL probably the biggest company in BMW tuning out there. thats about his only tasteful mod imho other than

-Greddy Turbo Timer
-Eibach Springs
-Tokiko Shocks
-Stillen Short Throw Shifter
-Car Alarm with keyless entry -this one could be crap though

and the last mods listed he doesnt say brands which makes me think maybe not so good of companies were used

no i haven't heard of dinan.... i don't look that much into bmw's.... i've and seeing that i've never heard of it on a Z, i'd say that there are better ones that have been used more often for a reason.

I saw both of them today. the black one had some really bad hesitation problems, not to mention "super loud BOV's" as the owner put it. the car drove like crap. it would boost once you hit 4k, anything under that it would just barely move. driving through the parking lot it would just shake, so needless to say I went with bachlorette number one. the only thing she needs are tires, since she broke loose on the highway in the 5th gear, I guess she was eager to come home I am buying some tires this week and probably jspec tails. pictures to follow
