how much should i pay?

alright so this is very brief because i havent looked closely at the car yet. Im interested in purchasing a 1990 z32 5spd red with black leather int. it has 150k miles on it but just had a new engine put in with all receipts. I know it has dual 3" pipes 19" rims with new tires and a nice system in the trunk but thats all i know as of right now. Im just looking for a ballpark price of what i should pay for it because kbb doesnt help much for a car like this.

I just created an account today and the last 2 cars ive owned were eclipse gsxs so i know alot about cars but relatively nothing about the 300zx. So dont burn me too bad. Any and all help is appreciated.

Welcome! Is the car TT or NA? Assuming regular (and proper) maintenance, and mint body/chassis, the prices in my area would be something like:
NA - $5k to $15k
TT - $10k to $20k
Pretty big ranges, yes, but it all comes down to preferences/needs. I've seen a showroom NA go for $25k. Would I ever consider paying that much? Nay. But would you?

Why was the fender replaced? Was it in an accident? Better have someone check it out who'll be able to gauge the health of the car. Post pics when you can!

Check for clean/clear title . I gave $700.00 for 1992 300ZX TT rebuilt title (spoke to owner who last had it before rebuilt process front bumper and passenger lower control arm replaced). 95k miles 5Zigen wheels new tires, coilovers, extra set of headlights/ extra pair of t-tops. No rust to be found (Cali license plate, military guy had it). Right place at the right time to get this. I'm sure the price would've been highly elevated if title was clear.

alright so its actually an 1990 300zx NA with 160k miles on the body and 2k miles on brand new engine and transmission. Its 5spd, black leather interior, has g35 rims, dual pipes and much more done to it. Brand new tires, ac and everything works no check engine light, etc. Is $5000 a fair price? Its from a friend of a friend as well

$5000 might be a fair price, but it depends on how it looks to you and what "much more done to it" is specifically.
