Fan Clutch
How do I replace the fan clutch? Anyone done it before? How long does it take? I called up my local auto parts store and asked if they had it and at first the guy said to switch it to an electrical fan, and that would be between 80-100 dollars, and the converter hookup thing somethin or other was 35. I didnt feel like dealin with all that, so im just goin for the fan clutch thats 80. Thanks.

No need to change to an electric fan. It's easy to change the fan clutch. The fan bolts right to the fan clutch. The fan clutch is bolted to the water pump studs. The water pump pulley is sandwiched between the water pump and the fan belt. There are 4 or 5 nuts (10mm I believe, maybe smaller) that hold it on. Remove those bolts and the thing will fall off. if you can't get to those bolts, you may have to remove the fan; which is 4 or 5 nuts locate at the front of the fan. Try to keep the pulley in place so that you don't need to re-adjust the fan belt.
