1st one, like the guy says, its a project. Do you want to spend 7000 on a project? Ive never heard of cam gears going bad, but if you decide to go with this one, let me know becuase I have a set of cam gears in perfect condition.

Could just be a valve tap. The price seems good if the mileage is true and the issues with it really are that simple.

2nd one, looks alright, but i would make sure to get paper work on both the motor swap and the 120k maintenance. Keep in mind at that mileage the turbos do start to go and changing them requires an engine pull. Its also not cheap at all, and if you cant do it yourself youre going to spending a lot. Even if he does have paper work on the motor, it doesnt mean that it has the mileage he was told or is telling you. Jdm motors are hit and miss sometimes, trust me, im on my second jdm this summer.

3rd one doesnt give much info. But considering it has the same mileage as the last one for 3 grand cheaper, thats enough to change the turbos yourself at that mileage. If you got him down to 3500ish that would be pretty solid.

Im not sure about the injectors in the earlier tts but after 94 they were changed and are better, so you might be looking at that for maintenance with the earlier years which also consists of a lot of work and if you cant do it yourself its also not going to be cheap at all.

Hope this helps.

yeah be cautious of high mileage cars. I picked up what I thought was a mint condition 90 tt with 182000 miles on it for what I thought was a good price. The car now has 187000 miles on it and at least blown turbo seals.

Also be cautious of JDM engines, they seem to be very unpredictable and are usually there because the owner was too cheap/lazy to rebuild the motor correctly.
