but heres the thing: when i had my injectors put on, he told me about the knock sensor code comming up. but the idle was fine. its just after i took it to nissan that the idle was a problem. when cold it doesnt stay on. i have to keep the foot on the gas and let off slowly til it warms up. and if i rev it and let off fast, it turns off unless its warm, then its not a problem. but they want to charge me $250 for checking wat its possibly the code 34. i checked everything from the valve, to connectors.

I wouldn't worry about the code 34 until all of the other issues are addressed. It sounds like you still have a vacuum leak or two. Especially with cold weather setting in, you should replace all of your vacuum and fuel lines if they're old and hard. Like the fuel line clamps, have you tightened any and all of the clamps on the intake tubes going from the MAF to the t/b's? Is the air filter clean? Has the base timing been checked lately? Has the ecu been reset since the fuel injectors were replaced?

Do a search here on the ways to detect vacuum leaks. It's pretty easy to do.

i tightened all fuel hoses. all of the clamps on the hoses were loose and i saw fuel just drip and drip down below. i got all that taken care of. i was thinkin and i realized that i only installed the aac, not the iacv- air regulator. and today during lunch i went to turn on the car and unplugged the connector that connects to the air regulator and i saw no change in the opperation of the car. does this mean i need a regulator? i took off the hose and took a look thru the valve opening and everything is clean. and now its running worst. now when i drive and i come to a stop, the rpm's go all the way to almost 0. i have to hit the gas so it wont turn off. checked all connectors, hoses, both the aac valve and iac air regulator and everything looks normal. this is beggining to get worst and worst. no "check engine" light comes on, the only code the ecu read was code 34. O2 sensors are fine. ummm, i dont know if he reset the code when he put the injectors. i am going to see him tomorrow and i'm going to address all this to him, to check injectors which he installed, spark plugs, and i will see if it needs a new knock sensor while he has the plenum off. i'm hoping he finds something while he has everything off. he only charged me $150 to install injectors so i know he can hook me up. i could do allll this myself with a manual but i need time and that nissan consult to know more in dept. but if all this is going to cost me more money, i am going to have to sell it. i know slicktops are rare and i've received sooo many compliments. original diamond black paint still looks brand spanking new with no rust, and my dad is a proffesional detailer so he always takes care of my car when i see him and everything. but its getting to a point if i really need to waste all this money on keeping it on the road. but if i do get it fixed which i'm praying i do, i will just stick it in the garage and take it out once a month or something. i have another car just in case this one breaks down which i'm just waitin for it to happen lol. ( is there a way i can cahnge and put this topic to the technical section? ) i thank you allll so much for help.

well now my steering is hard!! wat else can go wrong. i saw my friend today and he checked my car out. the coolant temp sensor code came up. he will do the work for me and see if that fixes it. but now my steering wheel is hard to turn. it feels like its hard and very loose at the same time. it feels like the wheels are gonna fall off or the steering wheel is comming off. i've decided to leave the car in the garage and not gonna take it out no more. i've had enought with this car. i might be selling it so if anyone is interested give me a holler

nice slicktop!! yes slicks do rule!! they're lighter, no leak worries. yes a tt is faster but how often u see a slicktop on the road? i'm just about to sell mine. i've had it for over 3 yrs and i think its time to sell. i'm wondering how much to get for it. it has 176,xxx miles but i rebuilt it at 145,xxx so it has a little over 30,000 on rebuilt. the only thing wrong with it is like i mentioned previously is the idle. i have all parts but i still have not put them in. parts include air regulator, both air hoses. i already installed the aac valve. and also the steering seems to have an issue. sometimes it feels hard when turning. it happened out of the blue. i put a rack and pinion a year ago almost exact and i see no steering pump leaks or nothing. other than that its a gem of a car! if i fix it i might hold on to it but if i get a good reasonable offer i will sell. 1991 slicktop, emerald black, extra extra extra clean, non smoking, always pampered and waxed, stays in for winter, genuine nissan front mask, 94-96 tt spoiler, dark tint.

dont expect to get any more money for a slicky. the only people who actually desire the slicktop are hardcore z fans like us. in fact, it may be more difficuilt to sell a slicky. the guy i bought mine from said 90% of the calls he got, the first questions were is it TT and does it have t-tops. it was on the market for quite a while.
