Which Front Fascia Would you prefer?
Hey guys my 95 300 is about to undergo a na -TT swap and i need to decide on a new front fascia for the car to house the front mounted inter cooler and piping. I'm stuck between the 99 Jspec front fascia,
The Greddy Gracer Front fascia,
And the stillen type 3 lower lip for the twin turbo model if i decide to stay with the stock dual side mounted inter coolers.
Just looking for some opinions on whats more aggressive in YOUR eyes. Thanks alot guys

I vote for the J-Spec. And whats wrong with a FMIC? I was thinking of getting the FMIC kit from SZ seeing as how my 300ZXTT Doesn't have any AC at all. The SZ site isn't working for me right now else I'd post a link.

The one Specialty Z sells (TDM Works') is kind of the exception - it's a properly designed FMIC (as opposed to almost all others, which negate the natural design of the VG30DETT - do your research to see why because I'm not going to type it out yet again simply because you're too lazy to do so), but it still is a HUGE restriction of airflow to your intake (you'd have to relocate to resolve that), your oil cooler (you'd have to relocate to resolve that), and your radiator (even without an AC condenser, the FMIC is still more restriction).
So consider this. You could get Stillen or Ash SMICs and that's it... or you could get a FMIC + upgraded radiator + relocated oil cooler + relocated intake to achieve essentially the same horsepower gains. The TDM Works FMIC is only needed for insanely powerful Z32s (Greg's Z runs 9's in the quarter... and he was running low 10's with side mounts before his newest build, so SMICs are MORE than sufficient for almost all builds).
In the end, a front mount usually ends up being a cosmetic mod, because SMICs will serve just as well, and often better (in the case of all FMICs other than TDM Workds), while costing less.

Hmm. I see. I'll have to decide carefully. Its really going to depend on if I can get my AC repaired with parts from the front clip or not. I was already going to grab an upgraded radiator that also has the engine oil cooler built into it, along with a twin pop intake setup. I'd just put the air cleaners down close to where the SMICs would be.
Hmm.... time for more research again lol
